The HBA Remodelers is a council, or a sub-chapter of the Greater Cedar Rapids Area Home Builders Association. It is made up any type of member who wants to show support for the remodeling industry. With industry leading programs in education, networking, marketing, advocacy and recognition of excellence, membership in the HBA Remodelers gives our remodelers the tools they need to build their remodeling business as well as the training and advocacy to take them to the top of their sector.
TRAINING FOR A COMPETITIVE EDGE
The HBA Remodelers, through the NAHB Remodelers and the University of Housing, offer a variety of educational programs on all aspects of the remodeling business, including the flagship Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) certification program - the industry's only certification emphasizing business administration and project management. Another great professional certification for our remodelers is the Certified Aging in Place Specialist(CAPS) directed toward helping the ever growing population of Americans over the age of 45, who want to be able to stay in their home safely, independently and comfortably, regardless of age or ability level.
NETWORKING TO STRENGTHEN CONNECTIONS
The HBA Remodelers try to meet several times a year for education and fellowship. Membership with the HBA Remodelers also gives you information about upcoming events, industry trade shows and local remodeling based community service projects.
MARKETING AND PROMOTION
Stand out in the crowd... The HBA Remodelers undertakes a strong effort to promote it's members. Through media relation at the national and local levels, and a variety of marketing offerings, the council ensures that members get the visibility they need to build their customer base. Every HBA Remodeler member receives a free listing on NAHB.org and on our own website, CRHBA.org. There are many awards for HBA Remodelers members too, through the Cedar Rapids HBA as well as through NAHB. One largest events the HBA Remodelers proudly orchestrate year after year is the HBA Remodelers Showcase, an offering of various types of remodel projects submitted by HBA Remodeler members for the public to tour.
